Accepting an invitation to a paranormal investigation on Halloween night was supposed to help Genice disprove superstitions and myths. Instead, it brought encounters with ghosts, the death of a dear friend, and the awakening of a side of her she never knew existed. It was a vampire's love that made it all worthwhile.
Genre: FICTION / Romance / ParanormalI am doing all I can to get my books out to the readers. I have an author website: www.sheehan-author.info (New Adult paranormal/romance/thrillers) and www.ailenefrances.info (historical romance). I have book trailer for most of my novels posted on youtube.com; goodreads.com.; smashwords.com; my author websites; and my facebook book fan page. It is my intention to offer audio books for a good deal of my novels. I have only been published a few years, but I write quickly ( 10 novels in the last 11 months) so my inventory of published works is growing. I send ARC to reviewers and have been lucky enough to get 4 & 5 star reviews for the most part. Books are launched with a book blog tour for their initial release or a cover reveal and an email to opt in followers.
It didn’t take much deliberation for Genice to settle on the theme of the dissertation for her mythological studies. She’d grown up being the oddball in a household filled with superstition and fear. Not only did she not believe in the stories they told of wild beasts who wandered the night, but she had no fear of the dark. None. She finally had a valid excuse to prove to everyone how foolish they were. Her only obstacle was deciding what beast of the night to focus on. Werewolf? Vampire? Ghosts? Zombies? Loch Ness? The list was endless.
She and Cassidy were friends since grade school. Cassidy got along much better than Genice did with her family since her fear exceeded theirs when it came to things going bump in the night. Whether they bonded because opposites attract or if it was because Cassidy so closely resembled Genice’s siblings in habits and attitude, she couldn’t say. Whatever the reason, they became best friends the moment they set eyes on each other that first day of kindergarten twenty years ago.
The crisp scent of autumn tickled her senses on that fateful morning that would alter her life’s path forever. she was late, as usual, for theology class. Cassidy spotted her racing across campus and rushed to keep step. Since she was five-feet-two inches and Genice was five-feet-eight inches, that was no easy feat.
