Taya Raveen has failed. Infected with the lycanthropy disease and trapped inside of the Blackfoot Werewolf Reservation, her report on the reservation has been filed away never to be seen again. But someone did read it. Someone has been watching from the outside.

The sacrifice of a lifetime leads Cassandra Frost to the gates of the Blackfoot Werewolf Reservation where she's welcomed with open arms. Little does the compound staff and other werewolves know that she's there with a purpose. Everything that Cassandra does is being documented in an attempt to bring the reservation down from the inside out.

She enters the reservation with a plan, but things quickly turn upside down when she discovers the corruption of power from within the pack hierarchy. Will she be able to accomplish what Taya didn't, or will she end up stuck in the reservation, a prisoner like the rest?

Terrified didn't even begin to describe the amount of fear coursing through me in that moment. My brain echoed the need to run, fight or flight syndrome kicking in full force, but I knew I had to stand steady. Danny would protect me. He promised he would. And if everything went according to plan, then I had nothing to fear anyway.

My mind raced as I watched the man trembling before me. I did not know him, but he was supposedly a friend of Danny, someone who had insisted that his identity remain a mystery from everyone else. It was understandable. He was a werewolf, and he was about to shift beneath the light of the full moon.

Even as he trembled, the shock waves of the change beginning to take over him, the man looked to Danny with uncertain eyes, his gaze locked upon the gun in Danny's hand. We both must have asked Danny at least a dozen times before if this was safe, and every time he assured us that it would be. Still, I could tell that the man didn't wholly believe him. To be honest, neither did I.
