A Scream of Angels by Joseph Nassise

Book two of the bestselling Templar Chronicles series

A scream of angels

Return to the world of the internationally bestselling urban fantasy series for another action-packed Templar adventure in book two of the Templar Chronicles!

Cade Williams was just an ordinary cop until the night he came face to face with a fallen angel known as the Adversary and nearly died.  Now he commands the Echo Team, a special ops squad of modern Templar knights, and the things they hunt are far darker and much more deadly than your average criminals.

When a Jesuit priest wanders out of the New Mexico desert, telling wild stories about a secret research installation and bloodthirsty demons hunting through its halls, the Echo Team is called in to deal with the situation. Their orders - investigate the facility, determine exactly what happened there, and deal with any infernal presence that might exist.

But the being they encounter there beneath the desert sands has found a way to break the bonds of Hell itself and doesn't plan on going back easily. This time, their foe might prove to be too much for even Cade and the men of Echo Team...

Fans of Supernatural, Constantine, and Grimm will love this hard-hitting dark fantasy adventure that pits modern Templar knights against fallen angels and other supernatural enemies.  If you like supernatural thrillers or your dark fantasy with a touch of horror, this series is for you!

He stared down at the object at his feet with the dawning realization that what they had just uncovered could change the face of the world forever.

Never had he been more exhilarated.  Or more frightened.  He knew, too, that he was going to have to decide how to deal with the discovery in the next few minutes or the news would spread all over camp faster than a forest fire in the high Sierras.  If that happened, it would be too late to contain it.

He and his team had been working along the shores of the Dead Sea for several months now and the season was just about over.  In another week or two their permits would expire.  With little to show for all their work, never mind the rising violence in the Occupied Territories that threatened to close the borders permanently, it was doubtful that he could gain the funding for a return trip the following season.

But now there was this.

He turned to the man crouched next to him.  "Who else knows?"

The other shook his head. "No one.  I've been working this end of the trench all day by myself. You're the first to see it, other than me."

Maybe, just maybe, they had a chance then.
