After the Vampires took over Earth in the great paranormal war, Humans have become second-class citizens - working as slaves, in brothels, as entertainers, or blood donors.
In the heart of Paris. once known as the most romantic city on earth, humans have gone into hiding, gathering into groups and fighting back against the blood-sucking demons.
Although, some have betrayed their friends to cozy up to the vampires and be in with a chance to turn into one themselves.
The world is divided and Vampires are on top - and there’s only one rule – You can’t fall in love with a human.
Vampire in Paris, published by R. L. Weeks at Enchanted Anthologies is in the lead for an award with Inks and Scratches book award for Best Fantasy World. Our two other anthologies have both been award-winning and bestsellling.
A Deadly World quickly hit the top ten in its categories and has sold over 200 eBooks and paperbacks to date.
Sirens sounded as vampires crawled from the shadows of every country. Some humans fled underground or to remote areas to escape the chaos, but many stayed and fought. The military dropped bombs, and the governments who’d known about the existence of vampires handed wooden stakes to their secret service agents and sent them out to fix the problem.
The biggest problem, however, was that the humans were losing.
Their bombs did nothing but kill their own.
Humans were taken hostage, and governments were overthrown.
Chaos ensued.
Paige flicked her blonde hair and looked at Boswell with her brilliant blue eyes. “I say we take Paris. It was our home once.”
Boswell looked at his sister with fierce eyes. “I agree. Others will try and take it before us, but we must be swift, ruthless, cunning.”
He turned to his brother, Maddox. “What do you think?”
Maddox sat back, his grey eyes focused only on the stars above. As always, he was taking it all in, refusing to decide until all the data had been compiled, sorted, and finalised in his mind.
“Paris has not yet been taken?”
Paige stepped forward. “No. It has not. The humans there are feisty.” Her eyes sparkled. She loved it when they fought back. The human nature disgusted her, but it also made her feel alive.
“It’s been eight hundred years,” Paige said softly, and squeezed her brother’s hand. “Let’s go home. It’s out in the open now. We can rule Paris. We can have an unlimited supply of blood.”
Rhett, an old vampire but only half as old as the others, jumped in. “Friends. We must agree, then, not to pity the humans. That is how many vampires have died, by taking pity, showing humanity…” He shuddered at the word. “Then, we may have a chance.”
