My name is Nilgun Onart and I am a turkish translator/interpreter who lives in Italy. I have outreached a ten years' experience in the translation field, with a 2 year in-house work experience in a french multinational company.

My specialization is based on the following languages: turkish, english, french, italian and spanish. Having had the great opportunity to live and study in different countries since an early age, I have both oral and written competences in the first four languages at a mother tongue level, as well as an international cultural luggage. 

My interest is especially concentrated on literary translation and I had the great opportunity to see my first novel translation, “Lazzaro, vieni fuori” (Andrea G. Pinketts) published in Turkey by Ayrinti Yayinlari in 2011, followed in January 2014 by the translation of a historical novel, “Una nobile follia” (Igino Ugo Tarchetti), Faligi Editore. Then I discovered the wonderful world of Babel Cube and translated my first e-book "L'ombra del Segugio" (Claudio Ruggeri) from Italian to French, followed by "Era il mio paese" (Cristiano Parafioriti).  

I believe to have found my real passion in translating novels and I think that it is a real satisfaction to rewrite a book adding my own style while adapting it to the cultural elements of the readers.
