Carolina Alvarez Arocha is dedicated to teaching literature, writing and editing workshops. She was the founder and director of the children's weekly newspapers El Correo en la Escuela and Pirueta. The latter received the National Book Award, Periodical Publication mention in 2020, a distinction granted by the National Book Center of Venezuela (CENAL).
She has been an elementary, middle and high school language and literature teacher for over 40 years in Venezuela and during her master's studies she was a professor of Spanish and Portuguese at the University of Georgia.
As a writer, she has published the books Las Trinitarias y Barba Azul (2011) and Algunos delitos mínimos (Some Minimum Crimes) (2022). His short stories have been published in Venezuelan literary magazines and textbooks. His book Las trinitarias y Barba Azul received the Prize of the National Contest for Unpublished Authors, Narrative mention, 2010 edition of Monte Ávila Editores.
She has attended congresses and literary meetings in Venezuela, Argentina, Spain, France and Brazil promoting the work of Venezuelan authors.
