In the 8th book of "The Junglies" series, Kiki the monkey finds himself stuck in a bottle. Will he be able to get free from the bottle? Who will help him?
His friends are afraid of him and won't help because they think he is a monster. Is there anyone who can help at all?
This story highlights to young readers, the harmful effects and impact we have on nature when we discard our waste indiscriminately. The story also introduces young readers to the concept of recycling.
"The Junglies' books all have a theme of "unity in diversity" in them with the characters being represented by different animals who are friends.
The series also serves as a good basis for teaching children about endangered species as each species of animal representing a character in the books has at least one sub-species that is endangered including rabbits!
Jungle Man the game warden represents man's ideal relationship with nature which should be one of protecting, nurturing and guiding.
"The Junglies" are enjoyable books for young readers and while being aligned towards ages 5 - 8 years old, they make ideal reading literature for parents to spend time reading to their younger children too.

Pages 3 & 4
One day Kiki was swinging through the jungle when he saw something on the ground.
He jumped down to see what it was.
Pages 5 & 6
It was a large round object closed at one end with a narrow opening at the other.
Kiki could see through the object. He did not know what it was but he was sure Jungle Man could tell him.
Pages 7 & 8
Kiki picked it up and climbed back up into the trees and started to swing to where he thought Jungle Man was.
The object was difficult to carry and Kiki lost his grip. As it fell, Kiki fell too as he tried to catch it.
Pages 9 & 10
The object landed on the ground and Kiki landed on top of it - head first! Now his head was stuck in the object!
Everything looked funny and blurred but he could still see. He had to get help!
Pages 11 & 12
Kiki ran through the jungle looking for his friends to help him get the object off his head.
