Graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the Karelian State Teachers' Training College in 1998 after completing a six-year course of study, including one academic year as an exchange student at Wesleyan University, Middletown, CT, USA. Bachelor of Arts.

Has been working as a self-employed translator/interpreter both in Russia and Italy since 1999.

Work experience includes numerous translations and adaptations of foreign language literature for Russian speakers, as well as simultaneous and consecutive interpreting in various fields and tour guiding.
