Who am I?
I am one half of a tenacious duo raising a one year old, a three year old, and a German Shorthaired Pointer. We live in the beautiful North, in the British Lake District enjoying the access it gives us to the lakes, mountains and coastline.
I grew up in a multilingual family with a Dutch mother and an English father and my love of languages simply grew from there. I have since lived in Russia for 2.5 years, Germany for 6 months and enjoyed monthly travel to Eastern Europe for a Territory Management position for more than 10 years with an international firm.
I now own my own freelance translation business (including proofreading, content writing, and localisation services) and would like to build my experience in the literary translation world. I have been a bookworm from early on and now immensely enjoy taking my children on fantastic journeys every time we read a book together.
