I´m a Brazilian translator based in São Paulo. I'm a very curious person with a passion for learning and understanding how people and things work, what triggers a extended passion for learning and travelling and a renaissance soul type of life.
Brief Story of my Professional Life
I hold a degree in Business Management and worked for a few years with cultural projects, while studying Sociology and Anthropology on the side for fun. During a sabbatical period, I enjoyed a couple beautiful years with the koalas and mates in Australia, studied website development and worked in pubs and restaurants to make a living. Back to Brazil, I worked as a webdesigner and with usability tests (basically watching people interact with products, apps or websites hidden behind a 2-way mirror wall) for a while, before being invited to work in a social psychology text book translation and being hooked on the job.
The year was 2013 and since then I´ve had the chance to work with plenty of text types, like internet articles, handbooks and manuals, contracts, legal documents, movie subtitles. I´m finishing a graduate certification in Translation and writting the graduation essay about translation quality assessment.
I´m interested in translating books about food, travel, self development, spirituality, biographies and business.
