I graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2001 with a BA Joint Honours in French and Italian Studies, after which I worked in management consultancy in London before moving to Italy and doing an MA in Specialist Translation at the Scuola Superiore Mediatori Linguistici di Vicenza.
In 2008 I founded Xpress Translations Ltd with a colleague who translates into Italian have been working for the company since then in the fields of law, science, patents, tourism, marketing and technical manuals.
I am interested in approaching the world of editorial translation, aware that machine translation will start to replace real translators in many of the sectors in which I currently work, but also due to my love of reading and ability to become totally immersed in books and their characters.
