My name is Camilla Vichiett and I’m a 33 year old Brazilian translator/subtitler.
Since October 2021 I've started to work as a freelance translator for HQ-translate Company from English to Brazilian Portuguese. Lately I've been translating youtube videos of k-pop idols.
I'm also working for a publishing house in Brazil (Cabana Vermelha) since the beginning of 2022, translating books from English to Brazilian Portuguese (2 published books on Amazon - "Made of Steel", by Ivy Smoak; "Bait", by Jade West; "Enchanting the Elven Mage", by Alisha Klapheke and "To Carve a Fae Heart", by Tessonja Odette).
I've also worked with subtitling in a volunteer capacity for ManiacsSubs and Queens of the Lab; both "from fans to fans" groups and now work with GeekS and Griots Team also in a volunteer capacity. I translate (EN>PT) and synchronize subtitles from different shows. I've enjoyed it so much that I've started a post-grad program for audio-visual translation in 2022.
I also did a course on Game Translation in 2023.
