Time is both ally and enemy as TID agents Brett Hostam and Krista Lysander leap into the past. Their mission? To unearth hidden truths buried in the chaos leading up to 9/11. The Russian TID has its own operatives, including a specialist GRU team called Zodiac. Why are they in the USA?
The agents have to confront the enigmatic Russian GRU team known as Zodiac. They lurk in the shadows of the present, but with strange links to Krista’s secretive past. Krista's parents, who were once TID operatives themselves, hid their family in 1970s California. Sag, who might be a Zodiac team member, is there for some reason, is it coincidence or something more sinister?
Current operatives clash with past and future time travelers and their management. Every jump poses physical threats, and they appear to be harming the agents' health. History cannot be changed, but the future can be.
TID needs more agents for an endless list of missions, but some of those are politically motivated. Four nations have chambers for long time jumps. They have hidden features too. Agents are left-handed and provided with local jump devices. Will the agents uncover the truth before it's too late?
Join them in a heart-pounding race through time where the past is never what it seems and the danger is always one step ahead.
Newly released part two sequel to Lines: T.I.D Part One
“This press report?”
Simone responded to Bridge’s question, “It was on an online news feed and a brief thirty seconds on the local ABC affiliate. The online headline was ‘alleged gunshot victims disappear before police arrive at Albany Med Centre’. There are not many details except that one woman and one man had been dropped off by a possible third man. They’d arrived at the ER entrance with apparently fairly serious injuries, then disappeared before doctors could properly examine them. There are no details in the hospital files. They hadn’t been admitted. They did have plenty of other business that night.”
“Go on.”
“Sir, the TV news had the same report, but they treated it as a mystery or a hoax. No CCTV from the hospital. It’s unclear why. There was no follow-up, except a comment on wasting police time and students playing hoaxes; there had been a spate of them apparently.”
“It’s definitely them, not some unconnected incident?” The head of TID asked a good question.
“The time is coincidental for the logs.” Janet stepped in. She had ownership of the ever-growing logs now in a searchable database away from the chamber but requiring continuous updates. “They disappeared from tracking 5 miles north of Albany two months ago. We have a possible safe house location where they jumped. We’ll check out with a real-time FBI raid after the team has been. We need more research on ownership of the houses in the street.”
“Thanks Janet. We have the timings for the incident and the off-line timing for their devices.” Charles took over. “We plan to be waiting in the hospital emergency area and jump back with them direct to the medical center. That’s if it is them. If not, we’ll go to part 2, direct.”
