The Miracle Ship by Brian O'Hare

Amazing Biography of a Healer and Exorcist

The miracle ship

YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT YOU'RE READING BUT EVERY WORD IS TRUE!! Do you believe in miracles? Do you believe in demonic possession? Do you believe in exorcism? A little girl with irreparable brain damage was pronounced dead by two hospital specialists. Today she is a healthy teenager. A teenage boy whose spine was crushed by a lorry was diagnosed as permanently paralysed. He now plays football with his friends. A curse that brought death over five generations has been lifted. People tormented by demons have been set free. How were such miracles wrought? What do they have in common? They have John Gillespie in common. Who is he? How has he been gifted with such extraordinary power?

The Miracle Ship tells John’s story. But it does so much more than that. Yes, the book essentially focuses on miracles. Yes, it contains many extraordinary stories of healing and deliverance. Yes, it focuses strongly on the spiritual warfare that so many Christians are engaged in without any awareness of its dangers. But the book goes to the very heart of what is needed to find healing and deliverance. It tells of the obstacles and difficulties that get in the way of true healing prayer. It reveals the many pitfalls that lie in wait in seemingly innocent healing practices. It spells out in detail the serious dangers that underpin many apparently beneficial New Age therapies. And it offers many examples of the kinds of prayers and life-styles that can bring healing to the body and to the mind. It can even turn around lives that are falling apart (and this has already been several times communicated to the author or John Gillespie by people who have already read this book on Kindle.)

This is a book that should be read by all Christians. John’s message is profoundly insightful and, if it is uncompromising, it is laced with faith, forgiveness and truth. Many who have already read the book have described it as ‘life-changing.’ This true account of his life, of the miracles and deliverances that follow his prayers, will amaze you. Millions of people love to hear and read about miracles. Sr. Briege McKenna’s book Miracles Do Happen has sold all over the world in its millions. If you read and liked Miracles Do Happen, you’ll love The Miracle Ship .

Sales info:

I am the author of a non-fiction book called The Miracle Ship by Brian O’Hare. It was self-published originally with Amazon but was taken on later by a small independent publisher, Crimson Cloak Publishing. I have had a few requests recently to have the book translated into Spanish, and when the publisher and I started to discuss this, we were advised to contact Babel Cube.
The book has met with reasonable success since it was first published by Amazon Kindle and Amazon’s CreateSpace in 2015. It has continued to sell well since it was taken over by Crimson Cloak Publishing a year later.

SOME STATISTICS:

1.     E-Book Version.
The book has sold erratically on Amazon.com but for the past three years it has continued to sell steadily on Amazon.co.uk, peaking consistently in the rankings around 6000 -7000. There have been troughs, obviously, but the rankings kept leaping upwards although the peaks tend to be around the 20000 mark nowadays. I do not have numbers for sales of the ebook, but they would be significant. (You can extrapolate to some extent what these might have been by looking at the paperback sale figures below.) In addition, sales on Amazon.com are beginning to show improvement.
2.      Paperback Version
During its year as a self-published book with CreateSpace, the number of paperbacks sold was 1240 print copies. In the subsequent years with Crimson Cloak, the number of print copies sold was a further 4786, making a total of paperback sales to date: 6026.  [The most recent sale was an order of 100, on the 3rd March this year, ie., just a couple of days ago. The book continues to sell well and there are no obvious signs of abatement.]

Given the book’s popularity, we believe that it would be beneficial to both the Babel Cube translators and ourselves to consider promoting translations of this book, particularly in countries with a high percentage of Christians in their population.

Sample text:

It is often said that one of Satan’s greatest deceits is his success in convincing the world that he doesn’t exist. In some cases, however, that was not particularly difficult to achieve. People who do not believe in God, for example, find the idea of belief in a personal devil equally preposterous. There are many scientists who believe that the only realities are those which are tangible, empirical and observable. Supernatural entities are, for them, the stuff of myth and imagination.

So what are we to believe? Is evil personal or impersonal? Is evil an active or a passive force? Is the devil real or symbolic? Is evil simply an element of our dysfunctional nature or something real and malignant outside of us?

John Gillespie is under no illusion that any belief that disregards the notion of Satan or diabolical influences upon our lives, is one that simply serves Satan, that helps him to do his evil work unhindered. “I always say that if there’s no devil, then why do we need a God?” He finds it particularly painful to observe that there are many who have been entrusted with the responsibility of combating Satan on the behalf of their flock, who have been given the power as Christ’s disciples to do so, but yet who chose to ignore this aspect of their vocation. “If they’re going to pretend that the devil has nothing to do with them,” John argues, with some heat, “how can they truly preach the Word of Christ? Was not the very first miracle recorded in the gospel, in St. Mark, a casting out of an unclean spirit? The first thing that impressed the people of the time about Jesus’ ministry was that he cast out evil spirits.”
