Intrigue, betrayal, and danger intertwine in The Case of Declan Williams.
A young man flees a foster father he assaulted. He ends up in Ibiza. Declan finds employment in a nightclub but quickly becomes caught up in the Columbian Cartel’s operations.
Before she goes to the USA, Declan lusts after Jacinta and other girls. His role and tasks in the cartel continue to grow. First, he acts as a smuggler and then as an enforcer.
The Cartel's deadly web spans from the cities and forests of Columbia to Ibiza, London, Manchester, and the financiers of Zürich. While navigating a treacherous world of drugs and people trafficking, Declan finds himself entangled with Astrid. She is a mysterious woman with secrets of her own. The police are closing in, and the stakes are higher than ever. The cartel does not accept disloyalty or failure.
Declan's past actions could potentially provide evidence for the police in the UK, Spain, and USA. He has committed murder, but is there enough proof?
Following the death of a young woman, DCI Humphries leads a new task force charged with bringing down Williams and his organisation. The cartel uses corruption and violence in London, Spain, and Zürich.
Prepare for a seedy, violent journey through the shadowy underbelly of crime and deceit in this novel of power, passion, and peril.
Newly released as a crime thriller
The men were on the prowl. The women drank and prowled back. Twice, he’d seen confrontations. He also observed the distribution of pills and packets. By two a.m., the place was even busier. He'd had no break, and neither had Roddy. He drank water when he could. He was offered drinks, and they went on the barman’s tab, but Roddy told him they could not partake.
"The jefe is strict but fair," he shouted over the booming music. Jacinta regularly collected cash payments from the tills and discreetly removed them to the office.
He was introduced to Carlos after he came to the bar for a drink, also of water. Not that there was time to talk. Carlos looked him up and down, nodded, and after his drink, he grabbed Jacinta for a fumble of her body before she pulled away. Carlos laughed and headed back to the door. He was working there with another young man, Lucas, who was friends with Carlos and, like Declan, was on his first night. Carlos had come to the bar just after he’d escorted two misbehaving drunks from the premises. Declan noticed blood spots on his shirt and was able to see bruised knuckles. The drunks had not wanted to be escorted.
Jacinta acted as the lead hostess and manager, cruising around the crowd and bringing some drinks to certain patrons. He took notice of the two occasional dancers who were kept in cages.
"The guy is Stevie," Roddy said, "and the girl is Rosetta. She's on her last chance."
Declan had already heard about her. Neither was wearing much. The crowd didn’t wear much either. The girls seemed to be in bikinis or swimsuits covered with see-through tops or dresses, sometimes without the bra or bikini top. It was very distracting for Declan. The men were in shorts or chinos with tight t-shirts and too much testosterone, waiting and wanting to pull or be pulled.
